As a member of our Children Services directorate, you will be expected to be a significant contributor to the drive for continuous improvement in this critical area.
The post of social worker for Children with Disabilities Team sits within the Children's services and works very closely with the Inclusion service which is based within Education services. This is a service working with children with additional learning needs and disabilities and brings together educational and third sector colleagues. The Children with Disabilities Team is a specialist team which aim to provide a one stop shop for information, signposting, assessment, short term and long term work and allocation of resources across a continuum of need. The team work with children who are disabled and there family, completing all areas of social work, Looked After Children, Children in Need and Children who are working with safety plans while named on Pembrokeshire's Child IProtection Register.
Social workers are encouraged to contribute to strategic planning within the Local Authority by using information from direct work to inform policy and practice development. Team members are encouraged to put forward and share ideas for further development in all areas and initiate different styles and models of service delivery. We value new ideas along with the previous experiences that team members may bring in order to provide a modern and progressive service to our children and families.

You must possess a relevant qualification in social work and be a registered social worker.
